Giving Holistic Healthcare Practitioners a Political Voice
Bestselling authors and co-founders, Genita Petralli and Gwen Olsen will represent the GB&M Coalition’s perspective of the “problem and solution” in Washington D.C., across the nation and with media reporters. Olsen, a 15-year-veteran-pharmaceutical rep-turned-whistleblower and inspirational speaker, has testified numerous times before congress, the FDA, and appeared in several documentaries and major media news releases. A former child Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) in Texas, Olsen is no stranger to the courtroom and is a compissionate “no holds barred” orator in exposing the “problem” and speaking out against the drugging of children. Gwen was awarded a Human Rights Award in 2007 by the Citizens Commission on Human Rights International for her work. The author of Confessions of an Rx Drug Pusher (2005), Olsen has articles published in the Well Being Journal (Mar/Apr ‘07, Jun/Jul ‘07) and News Target online, and is a contributing author to the soon-to-be-released Maximized Living Manual.
Petralli, a pioneer activist and the brain child behind declaring Santa Cruz the first psychotropic drug-free zone, is a Nutritional Biochemist, licensed Holistic Healthcare Practitioner, Nutritional Consultant and Master Herbalist, and serves as the GB&M Coalition’s spokesperson for the professional “solution” to the problem. Petralli is the author of Alcoholism: The Cause & the Cure and is a practicing orthomolecular practitioner specializing in addiction treatment, psychotropic drug detox and holistic neuroendocrine health and rebalancing making her an expert on the subject of psychotropic drug detox and acheiving mental health naturally. Together this dynamic duo has vowed to themselves and their members, “Not on our watch!”
Our coalition of holistic, principled health care practitioners will be educated and activated to promote positive mental health care reform within their communities and throughout the nation. Our practitioners’ portal will contain, among other things, cutting edge legislative action items and news. Our coalition newsletter and blog will report on GB&M activism concerns regarding political matters and/or legislative action which affect the access and provision of safe, holistic, mental health services to our citizens.
Ours is a coalition built on truth, responsibility and love for our fellow man. We recognize that God has entrusted us with the stewardship of this planet and all that inhabits it. We have accepted our responsibility in its truest form. Collectively we are contributing our time and our resources. Together we are choosing to change the face of health care in America by becoming politically active, by making our resounding voice heard, by choosing to be the difference that will make a difference for our children, our families, our communities, our country…and for our world!
