First, Do No Harm! Green Body and Mind is developing the Green Body and Mind Practitioner's Coalition which will appoint a Health Reform Committee Board to draft a reformed mental health care model that ensures all evidence-based, safe, holistic forms of mental health care for a specific condition will be exhausted before medication is considered. The new model titled "First, Do No Harm" will redefine the medical processes utilized for the prevention and treatment of mental illness based on the values and ethics of a humane medical consortium, and will carry out treatments in the best interests of the patient with the holistic therapies best suited for his/her condition. There are four main areas of focus that will be reformed: prevention of mental illness, intervention of psychiatric practices, detoxification from psychiatric drugs and replenishing and rebalancing the neurochemistry naturally, and in-patient ethics and processes of care. The obvious first holistic model that needs to be employed to save lives from the psychiatric / pharmaceutical model is to implement testing facilities that can test and diagnose the root cause of the patient's mental distress / illness. In holistic medicine circles it is a well-known fact that over 90% of today's "mental illnesses" are a product of sugar and stimulant consumption, food allergies, chemicals introduced into our food supply such as aspartame and msg, industrial chemical sensitivities, environmental factors such as heavy metal toxicity and pollutants and thymerosol laced vaccinations, and of course trauma induced conditions such as PTSD. All persons experiencing mental distress will have access to a testing facility that can identify the root cause of the condition, which in turn identifies the holistic solutions that can be presented to the patient for recovery. Green Body and Mind and its supporters submit that it should be considered a crime for a doctor to prescribe toxic medication to a patient before the known cause of his/her condition is identified. Every citizen should be provided access to the best evidence-based holistic care before life-threatening toxic drugs are considered. Since professional orthomolecular medicine and other adjunct alternative therapies are fully capable of providing the help those experiencing mental disorders need, psychiatric medications will soon be outdated and society as a whole can begin to heal from the devastation they have imposed on our country and the world. Prevention of mental illness: Holistic health care education in schools and other public venues provided to everyone so that the public is fully educated as to the sources of mental distresses in our diet and environment today and can take the appropriate actions to safeguard themselves. Intervention of psychiatric practices: A fully equipped mental health testing facility equipped to test for all the known causes of today's mental health issues will provide a logical and humane solution to the toxic drug-based treatments of today and intercept those which would normally find themselves in a psychiatrist's office and addicted to a cocktail of lethal and crippling drugs. Detoxification from psychiatric drugs and replenishing and rebalancing the neurochemistry naturally: Green Body and Mind is committed to detoxing individuals from psychiatric medications while naturally rebalancing thier brain chemistry and bringing their neuroendocrine system to life again. Holistic professional services such as clinically assisted detoxification, neuroendocrine system biorepair and natural brain chemistry rebalancing will be institutionalized and the public will be provided these services with the same access that life-debilitating drugs have been offered to the public. In-patient ethics and processes of care: Those individuals afflicted with a condition which confines them to a hospital will be provided professional mental health care holistic oversight and a holistic physician will be appointed to each and every patient in every hospital in the nation to ensure that they receive the identical holistic standards of care that their out-patient counterparts receive.
